PERMITTOFLY · CUSTOMER GUIDE

Start your drone project in three steps

You describe the mission. Your reviewer handles the technical assessment. No workbook, trajectory upload or risk-class calculation is needed for the initial brief.

  1. Your mission

Tell us what you want to do, the operating country and the site, address or route description. Add your operating dates and times if known; otherwise choose “Dates not fixed yet”. A map link or site description is enough to start.

  2. Aircraft and flight

Choose the aircraft model or describe your own. Tell us whether the pilot can keep the aircraft in sight, the planned height if known, day or night use, and whether people or crowds may be nearby. Choose “Not sure” rather than guessing.

If you enter a height, identify its reference: ground below the aircraft (AGL) or mean sea level (AMSL). You may also add mass, payload, modifications, special activities and existing document references.

  3. Review and pay

Check the brief, enter your contact and billing details, then continue to checkout. Your saved project has an order number and a final price before payment. Stock DJI project input and the five-preset mission simulator are free. Other aircraft use the paid specialist workflow. Discuss modified aircraft, custom builds, rocket projects and complex missions before purchasing.

What we confirm with you next

For an operational authorisation in the Specific category, EASA describes an application supported by an operations manual and evidence appropriate to the risk. Different pathways, including standard scenarios and relevant LUC privileges, have their own conditions. Your initial PermitToFly brief does not replace those requirements. EASA: operational authorisation.
